| NAI TECH PRODUCTS UNVEILS PORTABLE MEDICAL DVD/CD RECORDER FOR ECONOMICAL DICOM IMAGE COPY, DISTRIBUTION AND ARCHIVE. Auburn, CA—July 1, 2003— NAI Tech Products, well-known for technology expertise in DICOM connectivity products, is introducing the innovative MDR™ -- Medical Digital Recorder, designed to provide portable DVD and CD recording technology for DICOM image management. The new MDR receives and writes original DICOM images to either CD or DVD media from any mobile imaging modality or from a PACS network. NAI Tech Products believes it is the first medical grade DVD recorder specifically designed for use in both static and mobile imaging applications. “MDR brings new versatility and economy to image distribution,” said Paul Dempster, vice president of NAI Tech Products. “It is a compact, integrated system equally at home on both portable imaging systems and fixed imaging modalities. And the cost savings of recording images to CDs or DVDs is just phenomenally low compared to the alternatives.” With its compact footprint, the new MDR fits easily into portable ultrasound
and mobile C-arm systems. MDR allows users to copy images during or after
a procedure and use them immediately for referrals, patient records or viewing
in other areas of the facility. NAI Tech’s new MDR is also useful on
fixed modalities like CT, MRI or cardiology systems where a secondary image
capture solution is desired. Its low-profile design takes up minimal space,
and its easy connectivity makes it a simple addition anyplace on the PACS
network. |
